Giles Corey

Giles Corey is the solo project of Dan Barrett of Have a Nice Life, centered on intimate songwriting with heavy atmospheric arrangements. Songs explore depression, death, history, and the paranormal through acoustic guitar, piano, organ, choirs, and sudden walls of sound. The self-titled debut album was released in 2011 alongside an accompanying book, and has gained a devoted cult following. Live performances pair stark vocals and acoustic instruments with unstable electronics, building from whispers to cathartic impact.
