rockpop
Friendly Fires are an English indie rock band from St Albans, Hertfordshire, led by vocalist Ed Macfarlane and guitarist Edd Gibson, formed in 2006. Their sound fuses anthemic indie rock with dance-punk rhythms and shoegaze textures. Self-titled 2008 debut was shortlisted for the 2009 Mercury Prize, followed by "Pala" (2011) and "Inflorescent" (2019). Shows lean on dance-floor grooves and crowd-ready choruses.
