Five Points Ambassadors

The Five Points Ambassadors are a Denver band dedicated to playing and preserving the jazz and blues of the city's Five Points neighborhood, once known as the "Harlem of the West". Founded by pianist and bandleader Purnell Steen, the group describes its sound as Count Basie swing with Duke Ellington charm and Wild West spirit. It has served as a cultural ambassador for Denver's sister city Brest, France.
