Evanescence is an American rock band formed in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1994 by singer and keyboardist Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody. Its music is classified as alternative metal and gothic rock, marrying symphonic and cinematic elements to metal and hard rock. The debut "Fallen" (2003), with "Bring Me to Life" and "My Immortal", sold more than 17 million copies and won the band two Grammy Awards in 2004.
