Eli Winter

Eli Winter is a Chicago-based guitarist and songwriter from Texas who merges the mythos of his home state with jazzy, explosive improvisation. His music alternates pedal steel waltzes with fuzz-driven rock passages rooted in folk and devotional traditions. As a bandleader, his second album opens with a Don Cherry and Ed Blackwell tune and rarely lets off the gas. He performs solo sets and duo bills that pair intricate storytelling with adventurous guitar work.
