El Tri

El Tri is a rock band from Mexico City led by founder Alex Lora, which grew out of the group Three Souls in My Mind, formed in 1968. Its music moves between hard rock, blues rock and Latin rock, with a working-class, politically conscious outlook. "Simplemente" (1985) became its first gold album, songs such as "Triste Canción" and "Pobre Soñador" became standards, and the band is often called the grandfathers of Mexican rock.
