Dusk Dept. is a seven-piece funk and soul jazz collective from the modern funk underground. Its hooded members draw on backgrounds with Ghost-Note, Dumpstaphunk, Snarky Puppy, and related rhythm-heavy projects. Their self-titled debut arrived in May 2026 on Ear Up Records, founded by Jeff Coffin of the Dave Matthews Band. Live sets blend sacred atmosphere with analog funk, brass, and bass-driven groove.
