Don McLean

Don McLean is an American singer-songwriter from New Rochelle, New York, best known for his 1971 hit "American Pie." His reflective folk-rock songs include "Vincent (Starry, Starry Night)" and "Castles in the Air." A Grammy honoree and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, "American Pie" entered the Library of Congress National Recording Registry. His seated concerts draw on a catalog spanning more than five decades.
