DJ Assault

DJ Assault is a Detroit DJ and producer whose accelerated funk sound helped pioneer ghettotech, or Detroit booty music. His fast, bass-heavy tracks pair electro beats with explicit party lyrics rooted in hip hop. Mid-1990s singles such as "Ass and Titties" and "Sex on the Beach" made him a city staple through Electrofunk and Jefferson Ave. Live sets keep booty-shaking energy at the center of Detroit dance floors.
