Despise

Despise is the DJ name of Maggie Balas, a Denver-based drum-and-bass selector and co-founder of the Recon DNB collective. Her sets weave jungle, halftime, footwork, and experimental club sounds without locking to one BPM. She has appeared at Outlook Festival, Boiler Room Denver, and Keep Hush, and books national acts through Recon. Known for moody, diggers-first selections, she favors underground bills over mainstream request sets.
