Despise [Recon]
Korean-born and Denver-based, Maggie "Despise" is the co-founder and boss of Denver’s respected Recon DNB collective. A dedicated advocate of jungle/DNB for well over two decades, she curates unique, forward-thinking lineups and champions underground sounds through Recon, helping introduce a wealth of national and international artists to Colorado. Her passion for the music has led to appearances at Outlook Festival, Boiler Room Denver, and Keep Hush, alongside regular appearances with artists like Alix Perez, Dbridge, Anna Morgan, Sam Binga, and more.
Known for digging beyond the obvious, Despise weaves together jungle, drum & bass,
halftime, footwork, hardcore, breakbeats, hybrid rave-infused club sounds and beyond.
This selector brings a fresh, moody, and unexpected approach, unbound by BPM and
guided by the instincts of a lifelong devotee to the underground.

Solid [Recon | Sutra]
To quote Drum and Bass Proper:
‘We asked the DnB streets about Solid and they f*cked us up for being nosey. Said they ain’t snitchin but word is he’s been raving for a real long time. Joe Solid comes from the Midwest but has called Denver home for the past 19 years. In that time, he’s been a resident DJ at nearly every club that has hosted DnB in town – from back in the Snake Pit up to the Black Box today. He is also proud to be a part of one of the best known US drum and bass crews, Recon.
Hard to pin down to one style, he tends to drop footwork with drum n bass and he loves playing new tunes! Catch him at the next Recon DnB event, at various venues around Denver, or perhaps at your favorite festival.’
We love Joe.
