Dennis James

Dennis James is an American theatre organist known for live accompaniment to silent films. He performs on pipe organ, piano, and other instruments with historically informed scores. An Indiana University alumnus, he began accompanying silents in 1969 and held resident organist posts at venues including the Ohio Theatre and Seattle Paramount. His Halloween programs mix vintage radio drama with solo organ scores for classic silent comedies.
