Delfeayo Marsalis & the Uptown Jazz Orchestra

Delfeayo Marsalis and the Uptown Jazz Orchestra is a New Orleans big band Marsalis formed in 2007 to preserve riff-playing and collective instrumental polyphony. The group stretches big-band boundaries with the joy and humor of its brass-band roots. Marsalis, an NEA Jazz Master and acclaimed trombonist, has recorded widely as a leader and producer. Shows are swinging party sets built on clapping, tapping, and rump-shaking New Orleans spirit.
