Dee Dee Bridgewater is an American jazz singer and actress from Memphis who started in the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Big Band. She won a Tony Award for The Wiz (1975) and Grammys for "Dear Ella" (1998) and "Eleanora Fagan: To Billie with Love from Dee Dee" (2011).
