Deadgrass

Deadgrass is a New York string band led by Matt Turk and Grammy-winning guitarist C Lanzbom. The group interprets Jerry Garcia's catalog through jamgrass arrangements drawn from Old and In the Way, the Jerry Garcia Band, jug band material, and the Grateful Dead. Turk and Lanzbom co-founded the project in 2017 with bassist Dave Richards, banjoist Kris Bauman, and fiddler Kensuke Shoji. Shows feature rich harmonies, bluegrass picking, and open-ended jams built around Garcia and Hunter songs.
