David Frizzell is an American country singer from El Dorado, Arkansas, and the younger brother of Lefty Frizzell. He sings mainstream 1980s country and countrypolitan, often in duets with Shelly West on love and home-life themes. "You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma" with West topped the country chart in 1981, and his solo "I'm Gonna Hire a Wino to Decorate Our Home" hit number one in 1982. He is known for veteran legends-in-concert bills pairing his hits with warm, storytelling delivery.
