Dave Pietro

Dave Pietro is an American alto saxophonist, composer, and educator from Southboro, Massachusetts, active in New York since 1987. His work spans modern big band and small-group jazz with lyrical improvisation. He was lead alto in the Toshiko Akiyoshi Jazz Orchestra and plays in the Maria Schneider Orchestra; albums include "Satori" (2025). Live sets feature his quintet and sideman work at jazz clubs and festivals.
