Cory Grinder leads Cory Grinder and the Playboy Scouts, a country band formed in the Cleveland-Akron area of Ohio in 2016. The band plays original honky-tonk songs inspired by Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard, with Grinder on guitar, fiddle and lead vocals alongside founding pedal steel player Tebbs Karney. Its shows suit both dancehalls full of two-steppers and rowdy bar gigs.
