Charu Suri

Charu Suri is an Indo-American jazz pianist and composer born in South India who fuses Indian ragas with jazz. Her Grammy-nominated album "Shayan" draws on evening ragas in compositions designed to aid rest. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Birdland, and Preservation Hall in New Orleans. Her work has featured collaborators including Yo-Yo Ma, Ron Carter, and Steve Gadd.
