blues
Buddy Guy is an American blues guitarist and singer, born in 1936 in Lettsworth, Louisiana, and a defining voice of Chicago blues. His playing draws on the West Side sound, built on sudden drops from loud to soft. He arrived in Chicago in 1957 and recorded for Chess Records, then broke through with "Damn Right, I've Got the Blues" (1991). He has won nine Grammy Awards and entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
