Branford Marsalis

jazz

Branford Marsalis is an American jazz saxophonist, composer, and bandleader from New Orleans. Leading the Branford Marsalis Quartet since 1986, he moves between post-bop, classical work, and genre-crossing projects with expressive melody and telepathic ensemble interplay. He won three Grammy Awards and released "Belonging" on Blue Note in 2025. His live sets draw on a deep book of originals alongside classic jazz repertoire.
