Atlanta Rhythm Section
rockpop
Atlanta Rhythm Section is a Southern rock band formed in 1970 in Doraville, Georgia, out of the house session players at the town's Studio One. Their sound is smoother and more studio polished than most Southern rock, leaning on soft rock and blues. "So into You" (1977) and "Imaginary Lover" (1978) both reached number 7 on the pop chart, and "Champagne Jam" (1978) became their biggest selling album.
