Ashley Monroe is an American country singer-songwriter from Knoxville and a member of the trio Pistol Annies. Her songs combine neotraditional country with candid, emotionally direct storytelling drawn from personal experience. She co-founded Pistol Annies with Miranda Lambert in 2011, and her solo album "The Blade" earned a Grammy nomination in 2016. Her live shows match the unfiltered perspective that has defined her Nashville songwriting for nearly two decades.
