Anna Von Hausswolff in Chicago

Anna von Hausswolff is a Swedish musician and composer from Gothenburg known for gothic music built around the pipe organ. Her sound moves between colossal doom-laden rock and intimate organ pieces, exploring breath, ritual, and the celestial. After the breakthrough "Ceremony" (2012), she has released six albums, including "Iconoclasts" (2025) on YEAR0001 with guests such as Iggy Pop and Ethel Cain. Live performances pair maximalist, anthemic compositions with the physical demands of organ playing.
