America

America is an American folk rock band formed in London in 1970 when Gerry Beckley, Dewey Bunnell and Dan Peek, sons of U.S. Air Force families, began playing together. Their close harmonies and acoustic folk rock fueled 1970s hits like "A Horse with No Name," "Ventura Highway" and "Sister Golden Hair." Dan Peek left in 1977; Beckley and Bunnell have led the band ever since. Concerts spotlight their trademark vocal blend and catalog of soft rock classics.
