Alexa Tarantino Quartet in New York

The Alexa Tarantino Quartet is led by Connecticut-born alto saxophonist Alexa Tarantino, a composer and educator based in New York. Its sound is straight-ahead jazz with sharply plotted compositions and ardent improvising on saxophone and woodwinds. Tarantino released the leader albums "Winds of Change" (2019), "Clarity", and "Firefly" (2021) on Posi-Tone Records. The quartet tours with a high-energy blend of original pieces and jazz standards.
