Alasdair Fraser

Alasdair Fraser is a Scottish fiddler and composer from Clackmannan, based near Grass Valley, California. His playing spans traditional Scottish repertoire from Celtic airs to fiery dance tunes. He founded the Valley of the Moon Scottish Fiddling School in 1984 and revived the Scottish fiddle and cello tradition in a duo with cellist Natalie Haas. He was inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame in 2011.
