Adam Ant is an English singer born Stuart Goddard in London in 1954, who fronted the new wave band Adam and the Ants from 1977 to 1982. His glam-tinged mix of new wave, post-punk and dance-rock made him a figure of the New Romantic era. "Kings of the Wild Frontier" (1980) won a BRIT Award, and "Stand and Deliver", "Prince Charming" and "Goody Two Shoes" all reached UK No. 1.
