5280 Jazz Orchestra is a Denver big band founded by trumpeter Jack Derbique and pianist Tyler Treadway to revive large-ensemble jazz in the Mile High City. Their repertoire spans swing classics by Count Basie and Thad Jones through modern works by Snarky Puppy and original charts by band members. The lineup mixes rising Denver players with seasoned professionals across horns and rhythm. Concerts are built around bold, high-energy arrangements and guest vocalists.
