WXPN Welcomes Mary Gauthier: Mercy Now 20th Tour

Join Mary Gauthier for a special evening celebrating the 20th anniversary of her landmark album Mercy Now. The show will honor the songs and stories from this beloved record while also featuring music spanning Mary’s extraordinary career.

The Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter hailed by the Associated Press as “one of the best of her generation.”

Known for her "scintillating confessional" style and hits like "Mercy Now," Gauthier returns to the stage with her acclaimed eleventh album, Dark Enough to See the Stars. This latest work marks a powerful shift, balancing her signature depth with ten "sparkling jewels" of songcraft that traverse the landscape of both profound loss and the beacon of new love.

Texas-born singer-songwriter Jaimee Harris brings her "arresting and ambitious" country-folk to Arden Gild Hall, opening for Americana legend (and partner) Mary Gauthier. Harris’s acclaimed sophomore album, Boomerang Town, is a powerful song cycle exploring the "post-Springsteen" reality of small-town life. Born from the stillness of the pandemic and the complexities of her Waco roots, Harris navigates heavy themes of family patterns, addiction, and the relentless nature of grief with startling emotional truth. Harris crafts a sonic landscape where hope and despair live on knife’s edge. Her performance promises an evening of world-class songwriting and deep vulnerability.
