About the concert

Vladimir Ivkovic lands at Kiku Room for an extremely rare San Diego appearance.

This is not a name that comes through town every few years. Ivkovic exists on a different touring circuit entirely. The kind of artist whose appearances are scarce, whose records are difficult to identify, and whose sets pull you somewhere you didn’t expect to go.

A longtime resident of Düsseldorf’s legendary Salon des Amateurs and founder of Offen Music, the Belgrade-born selector has spent decades operating in the outer reaches of underground club culture. Psychedelia, wave, industrial, dub, cosmic mutations, strange electronics, forgotten pop, house and records without an obvious home all find their way into his sets.

There is no formula. That’s the point.

Ivkovic has become a reference point for a generation of adventurous selectors precisely because he refuses the obvious move. He can make something completely unfamiliar feel inevitable on a dance floor, pulling connections between records that seemingly have no business sitting next to each other.

His West Coast appearances are uncommon. In San Diego, they are virtually nonexistent.

That makes this one different.

FeeLIT Records continues their Sunday residency from 6–8PM, setting the tone before the night moves into deeper territory.

An intimate room. A proper sound system. One of the deepest record collections in the game. No idea where the night is going.

Exactly how we like it.
