UNCLE MUSKRAT: ALBUM RELEASE PARTY

Uncle Muskrat is celebrating the release of our third album and we’d love to have you there for the whole dang thing. Uncle Muskrat is a five-piece string band from Minneapolis, MN, putting a unique modern spin on the sounds of the old, weird American folk songbook. Through traditional bluegrass instrumentation and lush vocal harmonies, their music travels from the quiet of a mountain hollow through the swirling energy of the cosmic expanse.. with plenty of familiar stops along the way. Influences range from Dock Boggs and John Hartford to Billy Strings and beyond.  Uncle Muskrat has played stages across the Upper Midwest, and are excited to be coming back to Green Room to celebrate this occasion   This is a particularly special album for us. It’s our first record recorded in a proper studio and Jake Carlson at  DefHaus Studios did an amazing job capturing our sound! (Mastered by  Bruce Templeton at Microphonic Mastering)  The seven-song album features four original Uncle Muskrat tunes and three modernized takes on classical mountain-music songs.
