Two worlds of bass music collide in San Francisco this October as Thematic Entertainment and Propertings join forces for a heavyweight night with two artists who have been pushing the boundaries of underground electronic music from the opposite sides of the Atlantic. At the center of it all: Dr. Ushūu and Two Swords, backed by a handpicked lineup of local support.

DR. USHŪU

Few artists have had a more interesting year than Dr. Ushūu.

The French bass music producer has spent the last year reinventing himself, moving beyond the heavier dubstep sound he became known for and diving headfirst into deeper, more dance-focused 140 music. His “Camden Town” era has become a major turning point, with the track and its surrounding rollout helping propel a new wave of attention around the Ushūu project. He has openly described this period as rediscovering why he makes music in the first place, and that energy is impossible to miss.

His rise has been backed by some serious credentials. Dr. Ushūu has appeared at major festivals including Lost Lands and Rampage, while his releases and performances have continued to build an international following.

Now sitting at more than 65,000 monthly Spotify listeners, with a string of 2026 releases behind him, Dr. Ushūu is entering one of the most exciting chapters of his career. Expect deep 140 pressure, ridiculous sound design, heavy low end and the unmistakable Ushūu energy.

TWO SWORDS

For anyone who knows their UK underground, Two Swords needs very little introduction. Formerly known as Hyroglifics, Matt Harris has been a serious name in drum & bass and dubstep for more than a decade. His career stretches back to 2014, with releases on Critical Music and a catalogue that established him as one of Bristol's most forward-thinking producers. The move to Two Swords wasn't a fresh start, it was an evolution. The new project gives Harris room to move beyond the boundaries of traditional D&B, pulling together drum & bass,

dubstep, breaks, trap, drill and experimental bass music into something much harder to pin down.



With years of UK underground credibility behind him and a new body of music that continues to push outside the usual genre boxes, Two Swords brings the kind of experience and musical depth that you simply don't get every night.

Born out of San Francisco's UK music community, Proper Tings exists to bring the spirit of British underground music culture to the West Coast.

It's about building a community around the music, connecting the heritage of British dancefloors, pirate radio and underground rave culture with the constantly evolving San Francisco scene.
