Consisting of contagious authenticity, cheery live shows, and cultivating an original story with an attitude of gratitude, Social Cig is chasing full-circle moments. Leafing through music scenes with an ambitious DIY approach, Social Cig has become a well-rounded grassroots venture. Shadow Monster is frontwoman and guitarist Gillian Visco’s alter ego and title of her dejected grunge pop project with longtime drummer and collaborator John Swanson. Nikki Sisti (THICK) and Denim Casimir (TVOD) round out the trio with booming, fuzzy basslines adding to the vibrant wall of sound best enjoyed with your local dive bar’s beer and shot combo. CMIYC is the acoustic solo project of Ryan Hanratty, founded in 2012 and rooted in a love of film, storytelling, and heartfelt songwriting. Inspired by artists like Frank Turner, Against Me!, and Third Eye Blind, Ryan blends narrative-driven lyrics with an earnest, melodic edge. Over the past 14 years, CMIYC has grown alongside the vibrant Long Island, NYC, and New Jersey music scenes, performing at notable venues such as Wonder Bar, Debonair Music Hall, The Court Tavern, John & Peters, The Bitter End, The Founders’ Room at The Paramount, Flemington DIY, and more.
