'It’s Derek Chase’s Birthday, and we’re opening the door to two very different worlds of sound. In the Red Room, the energy gets dark, heavy and underground with DJ Thread, bringing his deep roots in drum & bass, jungle and experimental bass; Sinister Dosage, serving up technical Neurofunk and Darkside Jungle with heavyweight breaks and cinematic tension; DJ Exodus, a longtime force in the Michigan underground with ties to Bang Tech 12 and Breakloose; and DJ Dilemma, bringing the breakbeats, DnB, jungle and electro that have made him a longtime Breakloose staple.

Then there’s the Blue Room.

Brent Shay brings his Detroit Grit aesthetic — dark industrial techno and acid-driven house shaped by decades of Detroit resilience and a philosophy of Us over Me. J.Garcia moves freely between deep, funky house and hard techno, with the kind of energetic, gear-heavy sets that keep the floor locked in. DJ Seoul, Detroit Techno Militia veteran and Bang Tech 12 co-founder, brings his trademark turntablist approach across techno, electro, hip-hop, soul, house, acid and rare groove. And Gusto closes the circuit with hypnotic hooks, potent basslines and a live electronic sound rooted in Detroit’s funk, Motown and techno lineage.
