Simon Doty w. EMJIE [Extended Set]

Simon Doty returns to Refuge on Saturday, October 3rd for an extended set.

The Canadian producer enters a new chapter following the release of Universal Language on Anjunadeep and the launch of his own label, Recess, where he has shifted toward groove focused club music while retaining the melodic songwriting that first brought him international recognition. His recent world tour included more than 60 performances at venues including Brooklyn Mirage, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Gorge Amphitheatre, Savaya Bali, and Fabric London. His productions continue to receive support from Sasha, Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones, Carl Cox, Pete Tong, and Danny Howard.

Joining the lineup is EMJIE, a Charleroi born, Brussels based producer and DJ whose sound moves between classic house, indie dance, and retro influences. A Studio Brussel resident, she has performed at Tomorrowland, Zamna, Fuse, Sisyphos, Bar Americas, and Pukkelpop, and has shared the decks with Diplo at CORE Tulum. Her productions have landed on YES YES YES, One Seven Music, Renaissance, Tensnake’s True Romance, and Phisica, earning support from Lp Giobbi, Chloé Caillet, Damian Lazarus, Adam Ten, Sasha, Deer Jade, and Mano Le Tough.
