Our LOVE, ____ series is all about following the bridge in the diasporic sound. How Jazz influences Calypso and Calypso influences Highlife and so on. All part of the uniting desire to find a groove. This month, we return with LOVE, HIGHLIFE, featuring sounds by Grey, @nwao.wav & @xeynamay.

Highlife has never been just one sound. From Guitar-Band and Dance-Band Highlife to Gospel, Disco, Burger Highlife and beyond, we’ll trace its evolution across eras and explore the sounds that shaped it along the way.

Not a party. Not a lecture. Just a room full of music lovers, artists, and curious minds listening, connecting, and discovering together.

We’ll also be hosting a QTBIPOC artist mixer + Conversation Bingo, where you’ll connect with other attendees, talk music, and have a chance to win 1 of 3 Highlife vinyl records.
