English OGÜN SANLISOY — ACOUSTIC LIVE IN MONTRÉAL For the first time in Montréal, one of the defining voices of Turkish rock, Ogün Sanlısoy, comes to La Toscadura for a special acoustic concert. Ogün Sanlısoy holds an important place in the history of Turkish rock music. Emerging from Pentagram in the early 1990s and later building a successful solo career, he became one of the recognizable voices connecting the heavier roots of Turkish rock with a broader audience. With his distinctive voice, powerful stage presence and a career spanning more than three decades, he has helped shape and popularize Turkish rock across generations. Songs such as “Saydım,” “Ben de Özledim,” “Pencere” and “Dayanamam” have become closely associated with his musical identity. For this special Montréal performance, he will be joined by Fırat Öz on electric guitar and backing vocals. Presented by the Turquebec Cultural and Friendship Association, this will be a unique evening bringing Turkish rock to Montréal in an intimate live setting. Ogün Sanlısoy occupe une place importante dans l’histoire du rock turc. Révélé au début des années 1990 au sein de Pentagram, il a ensuite développé une carrière solo marquante et est devenu l’une des voix les plus reconnaissables du rock turc moderne. Avec sa voix distinctive, sa présence scénique puissante et une carrière de plus de trente ans, il a contribué à faire évoluer et connaître le rock turc auprès de plusieurs générations. Des chansons comme « Saydım », « Ben de Özledim », « Pencere » et « Dayanamam » sont devenues étroitement liées à son identité musicale. Pour cette soirée montréalaise, il sera accompagné de Fırat Öz à la guitare électrique et aux chœurs. Présentée par l’Association culturelle et d’amitié Turquebec, cette soirée unique fera vivre le rock turc à Montréal dans une atmosphère intime et authentique.
