Nocturna @ Bossa Nova Civic Club

NOCTURNA meets in full.

For this cycle, we go beneath the tracks to Bossa Nova Civic Club, a room tucked under the rumbling subway lines of Bushwick and long rooted in New York’s house and techno underground. Known for keeping things close, raw, and centered on the dance floor, at Bossa the music has nowhere to hide.

NOCTURNA exists for the possibility of where sound can take you. For the shift that happens somewhere between entering the room and leaving it. We believe a night can reveal something new when you give yourself over to it, whether through a new sound, an unexpected connection, or a shift in perspective.

This gathering begins warm, loose, and hypnotic before gradually finding its way into the darker hours.

SECRET GRAPES
Our special guest Secret Grapes guides us through an all-vinyl selection rooted in the deeper side of ’90s progressive house. Rolling basslines, long builds, and atmospheric details give her sets a warm, sensual quality. Her sound pulls from forgotten classics, rare finds, and the stranger corners of the genre.

ANI BE
Through the stripped-back sounds of minimal, deep house, and techno, Ani Be brings a sound that is moody yet built for movement. Prominent basslines sit at the center of her selections, with a focus on lyrical storytelling that moves between the tender and deeper, more hypnotic sounds.

YOCHANAN
Yochanan will explore hypnotic minimalism, atmospheric textures, and rolling low-end pressure through an extended hybrid-driven dialogue with the dancefloor. Drawing inspiration from Romanian afterhours culture and NYC’s underground circuit alike, Yochanan leans into patience, flow, and subtle psychedelic drift.

NICO NOIR
Focused on a forward-thinking approach to electronic music, Nico will dive through minimal structures, dark progressive atmospheres, and dubbed out textures. Blending raw energy with experimental influences. The result is a sound focused on tension, space, and progressive movement.
