Naomi Wachira & Nanseera

Kenyan-born, Seattle-based singer-songwriter Naomi Wachira blends African rhythms and soulful storytelling into music of love, resilience, and social justice. Her mesmerizing voice has united audiences across cultures, making her one of the region's most poignant voices in folk and soul. Nanseera is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter with an old soul and a sharp pen. The mixed-race, London-born performer grew up in Uganda and Ethiopia, moving to the United States for high school and college. As an adult, Nanseera has spent time in France and Uganda, as well as touring the east coast of the United States. All her travels and adjustments bring a nuanced worldview into her music. Taking inspiration from artists like Tracy Chapman, Lianne LaHavas, and Sheryl Crow, she weaves together poetic stories of home, love, and belonging. Nanseera will celebrating the release of her second EP Stop the Lies, an intimate exploration of the politics of our world and our relationships.
