Mike Zito

Mike Zito, a St. Louis-born blues-rock guitarist and singer, big on emotional storytelling as well as tone. Zito started young in St. Louis' tough bar scene, blending electric blues with Southern rock, soul, and Americana, but always serving the song and that emotional core. His song "Pearl River" won Blues Song of the Year in 2010, and he later joined Royal Southern Brotherhood. Now he also co-leads Blood Brothers and runs Gulf Coast Records, producing and mentoring other artists. Albums like "Gone to Texas," "Resurrection," and "Life Is Hard" show his arc, with "Life Is Hard" winning Blues Rock Album of the Year in twenty twenty-five. His latest, "Outside or the Eastside," continues that honest, road-worn vibe.
