Michelle Malone - Matinee

Michelle Malone is a fierce, genre-blending songwriter whose music career spans over 3 decades of winding through folk, roots rock, Americana, and country blues and is built on independence and artistic conviction. Malone is known for her emotionally direct writing, powerful vocals, and songs that balance grit with vulnerability. She’s an underground legend in the fabric of Georgia Music.  She has been called "a satellite member" of the Indigo Girls by Amy Ray, was a member of The Kristian Bush Band  (Sugarland), performed with the Atlanta Symphony with Gregg Allman and Chuck Leavell of the Rolling Stones, and forged a career that's taken the award-winning songwriter around the world on her own solo career which is celebrating 40 years as of 2026.  Guitar World said Malone is “equal parts badass guitar slinger and sweet songstress, with masterful lyrical introspection.” Malone’s powerful live shows are upbeat and authentic, engaging and satisfyingly flush with the raw energy and emotion that’s always been a part of her signature sound. Malone's latest album, Southern Comfort, is a guitar-driven singer songwriter record cowritten in part with Dean Dillon of TN Whiskey fame, and features special guests Buddy Miller, Rick Richards (Georgia Satellites) Will Kimbrough (Emmylou Harris), Charlie Starr and Paul Jackson (Blackberry Smoke), and Randall Bramblett. American Songwriter says it’s "a wealth of alluring and enticing entries that ensure immediate accessibility and could be considered Malone’s masterpiece. 4/5 stars”, while Lee Valentine of The Atlanta Journal Constitution exclaims "One of my absolute top 5 albums of the year"
