Maisy Owens unique sound, musical truth and stirring vocals inhabit Dark On A Sunny Day, her debut album released in May of 2026 on Tompkins Square and produced by Robin Eaton (known for his work with Jill Sobule).Drawn to melancholic melodies and dark poetic imagery, Dark On A Sunny Day has been garnering accolades from the likes of MOJO, Uncut, The Bluegrass Situation, KCRW, BBC Radio and Nashville Scene among others.Her high, clear, quite lovely, sometimes haunting voice is gently backed by harmonies, a lonely guitar, and a brush of drums.
