Limbo at The Refinery presents: Macelyn Batten

Limbo welcomes Macelyn Batten for the first time for an evening that you won't want to miss! Before doors, head over to Lou Lou's Tavern at The Refinery for dinner. To get your reservations go to: https://bit.ly/LouLousDinnerReso Macelyn Batten is a Charleston-based singer-songwriter blending country, soul, blues, and Southern rock. A former surgical resident who found a new life through music, she brings a powerful voice and candid storytelling with songs about loss, recovery, and the strength it takes to start over. From intimate acoustic sets to full-band honky-tonks, her performances pair heartfelt originals with a little grit and plenty of southern soul. Her influences stretch from Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Townes Van Zandt and Loretta Lynn to Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson and Ella Langley. But live, Macelyn isn't interested in simply recreating the past. Expect story driven country, Southern rock swagger, bluesy edges and a boot-stomping honky-tonk energy built for a room where you can get close to the music. With new singles on the way leading into her forthcoming debut album, Macelyn Batten is an artist finding her voice in real time. Catch her at Limbo at The Refinery and see what's next before everyone else does.
