Longturn presents: Lehar (Sunday Shift)

The Finch @ The Distillery Complex | Station Square | Ages 21+

The season finale! After three sold out shows, rooftop season at The Finch ends for us on Sunday, October 25th as we celebrate a special occasion, Longturn's 9-year anniversary. Bring a costume or skeleton themed attire and join us in the open air above Pittsburgh's historic downtown. Headlining this time is Italian producer, Lehar!

Lehar's sound is rooted in Romanticism, built on intuition, emotion, intimate bass lines, and intriguing melodies. He's released on iconic melodic house & techno/indie dance labels such as Diynamic, Afterlife, Days Like Nights, Sincopat, Renaissance, and his own label Multinotes. With collaborations with Kevin de Vries, Musumeci, Luke Alessi, Ivory, Budakid, and many more, you can see why he'd be the perfect fit to headline our Halloween Party at the Finch.

On direct support, performing an extended sundown set, is our own Koopmusik joined by fan favorite Hon Jao Violin on live strings! After sunset, Core Collective's fire performers take over against the city lights with plenty of surprises for the special occasion. Wave Motion sound will be back with a top tier Martin Audio system and Focal Point Productions on Lights.

*To celebrate our 9 year anniversary, we wanted to open our ears and decks to our community members who've supported us over the years. We will be selecting one winner to open the night at our final rooftop party of the year. Deadline to submit is October 16th. Email us at booking@longturnmusic.com with your name, email, link to the mix, and put "Longturn 9 Year Anniversary Mix Contest" in the subject. For this one, we are looking for proper opening melodic, organic, progressive house vibes. Please send us a 60 minute mix to be considered. We will pick a winner based on story telling, mixing, track selection, and overall vibe for this event. Lastly, share our event to your stories and tag us for bonus points.

Rain or shine. Come down early for drinks, stay for dinner, and dress the part. It's skeleton themed, but all costumes are welcome.

Lehar’s musical aesthetic, featuring the sublimity and beauty of nature, finds its roots in Romanticism. As you may notice while listening to Lehar’s compositions, intuition and emotion are the basis of his creative process.

His debut EP ‘Sargas’ on Offenbach’s imprint Connaisseur Recordings put him on the map of modern electronic music and represented his artistic manifesto: a mixture of sounds and atmospheres of dramatic effects characterized by intimate bass lines and intriguing melodies.

Following his debut was a successful stint at DIYnamic Music, which saw the release of his EP “Magic Realism”, the indie single “Number One Hero” featuring Rush Midnight on 2DIY4, a contribution to the “10 Years of DIYnamic” album, and his mini album “Picture” released in October 2017. Subsequent releases on Compost Black Label, Endless, My Favorite Robot, Mood Music, and Lost & Found have colored his resumé.

Lehar’s emotional DJ sets reflect his approach to life: spontaneity and passion. Aiming to create a night that allows him to return as much as possible to his musical foundations, Lehar designed and built his first “All Through The Night” tour.

In 2018, he created the label Multinotes with Musumeci and Olderic. That same year, he and Musumeci presented a new concept for a one-night event called MUSE. In 2019, they had their own summer residency at Heart club in Ibiza. Today, Multinotes has seen releases from Echonomist, Adam Ten & Mita Gami, Santiago Garcia, and many others. Meanwhile, Lehar has been bringing Multinotes showcases around the world to spread the testament of his sound.

In the era when America's Rust Belt got its name, factory workers labored on a 12-hour day or night shift for two weeks straight. To switch shifts, one group would have to work 24-hours straight and cover the labor gap. This grueling shift became known as the Longturn.

Longturn music was founded to give people with day jobs a space to spend their second shift. No bottle service, no passwords, just a dance floor filled with good people and good music.

Come early, stay late, dance hard
