First Friday’s Free is back, and we’re kicking things off early with live music before an absolutely scortching hot line up across two rooms.

From 6:30–8:30PM, Vereda INTL + Tony Flow bring live music to the Foyer, blending Afro-Latin rhythms with funk, soul, jazz, and plenty of groove. Come early, grab a cocktail, and catch two hours of warm, dance-floor-ready sounds before the late-night programming begins.

Opening CARGO from 10PM–12:30AM is Brooklyn-based Ethiopian American DJ and producer EDEN. Known for high-energy sets that pull from across the Black diaspora, she moves seamlessly through Miami Bass, Jersey Club, Afrobeats, Baile Funk, and beyond. She is also the founder of MATA, a New York party series and collective spotlighting Black DJs and producers while centering diasporic club sounds on the dance floor.

From 12:30–3:30AM, NYC-based DJ and producer duo LAPORTE takes over CARGO with a late-night house set. Originally from Atlanta and now based in New York, the pair move fluidly between the city’s music and fashion worlds. As signed models, they’ve worked with Nike, Adidas, and Tom Ford and appeared in publications including i-D and Vogue. Behind the decks, they’ve played across New York’s nightlife circuit, from intimate rooms like H0l0 to the main stage at Knockdown Center. Their sets are rooted in house music, bringing together sharp selections, an instinct for the room, and the energy to carry the dance floor through the night.

In the Foyer, cry$cross opens from 9PM–12AM. A fixture in New York’s underground club scene, the DJ, visual artist, and designer is known for adventurous, emotionally driven sets that celebrate Black queer dance music. With appearances at spaces including Nowadays, Mood Ring, House of Yes, Bossa Nova Civic Club, and The Lot Radio, cry$cross brings a deep knowledge of the music and a fearless approach to selection.

From 12–3AM, NYC-based DJ and producer KStrobez closes out the Foyer with a fast-paced mix of UK Garage and Jungle. Built on quick-fire blends, original remixes, break-driven grooves, chopped vocal hooks, and sub-heavy basslines, their high-energy sets are made for bouncing—and will keep the Foyer moving through the end of the night.
