Jason Kendig - New York
Originally inspired by the music electrifying Detroit’s airwaves and reverberating through its warehouses, Jason Kendig has been collecting and mixing a broad range of dance music for nearly three decades. From his first residency at Detroit’s infamous club Motor in the late ’90s he went on to become an integral member of San Francisco’s Honey Soundsystem and a resident at Smart Bar in Chicago. Kendig’s touring schedule has brought him to dance floors around the globe where he never fails to make others move through his ability to reference dance music’s past while keeping an ear tuned to the sounds of the future.
Kenvulsion
(Real name Ken Woodard) is a San Francisco–based DJ and cultural organizer deeply embedded in the city’s underground house and disco scene. Emerging from an East Coast new wave background, he relocated to the Bay Area and became a key figure in queer nightlife, particularly as Co-Founder of the influential collective Honey Soundsystem. He's known for his eclectic, historically aware sets blending classic disco, house, and left-field selections. His first residency in 1983 was at Myhalyk's in Elmira NY, since then he has played at discotheques and parties across the globe, including Horse Meat Disco - London, Optimo - Sub Club, Glasgow, NYC Downlow - Glastonbury, Comfort & Joy - Black Rock City, Cocktail D'Amore - Berlin, Le Bain NYC, Smart Bar - Chicago, Cub Scout - LA, most recently teaming up with disco legend Steve Fabus at Apollo After Hours, Truck, Studio456 and Bar Part Time in San Francisco.
