Cherry Bomb: HUNY XO & Madame Trio

Calling all techno baddies, club kids, and oonz oonz enthusiasts: this month’s Cherry Bomb is on deck Aug 28, 9pm-2am at Spirit with resident HUNY XO joined by Madame Trio.

Here’s what you need to know: 1. For the next couple months the function is moving to 4th FRIDAY instead of Saturday; 2. Cherry Bomb will no longer share a day with SZR Day Party (this Saturday at 5801); AND 3. We got an extra hour (9pm instead of 10pm start time)!

We needed a sure thang to soundtrack the switch-up and who better to join huny than Jaz? Her first Cherry Bomb was all the way back in May 2022 and with a long resume including Hot Mass and the underground rave circuit, techno Trio goes HARD. And that’s what we likey at Cherry Bomb.

ABOUT CHERRY BOMB:

Cherry Bomb originally ran from 2021-2023; the first event at Spirit post-pandemic. HUNY XO was awarded Pittsburgh's Person of the Year in Music in 2021 for reinvigorating the city's nightlife scene through Cherry Bomb. The residency's cohort of artists, both PGH based and national, and many of whom count CB as their first out of town residency or big break, have played The Renaissance World Tour, Berghain, Lot Radio, Boiler Room, Hood Rave, Honcho Campout, Basement, and so much more.

In 2025 Cherry Bomb came out of a 2 year hiatus with 2 iconic 2-floor bangers. And now, in 2026, we're back at it monthly with the exact same mission: to champion the Black AF roots of electronic dance music and remind PGH what the present and future of the underground sounds like (and who it belongs to).
