HOLY VOID, PAR ASITO, & DEAD EX GIRLFRIENDS | ALL AGES

HOLY VOID, PAR ASITO, DEAD EX GIRLFRIENDS NOVEMBER 1ST 6:00PM | ALL AGES dead ex girlfriends are an Indigenous grunge punk band from Treaty 6 Territory (Saskatoon, SK), and they are not here to be quiet. Formed in 2020, this 4-piece - Vada Boyer (they/she), Gabrielle Giroux (she/her), Siena Rose (she/her), and Cairo Dawn (she/her) - blend riot grrrl urgency, grunge grit, and raw emotional storytelling into blistering live shows that feel like both a confrontation and a party. Their debut album, take me to the after party. (2025), captures both the chaos and vulnerability at the heart of the band. Blending riot grrrl punch, grunge heaviness, and melodic introspection, the record moves seamlessly between unfiltered rage and dreamlike intensity. The album has surpassed 25,000 Spotify streams and earned national praise, such as being named one of Exclaim!’s “Top 5 Emerging Canadian Artists you Need to Hear” that “throw one hell of a party” (Em Moore, 2025). Onstage, dead ex girlfriends are relentless. From sold-out basement and house shows in Saskatoon and a sold-out debut headliner in Winnipeg with sākihiwē festival, to major festival appearances at Ness Creek Music Festival, Salt Shaker Music Festival, Winterruption, Saskatoon Pride Mainstage, and BreakOut West 2025, the band has built a reputation for unforgettable live energy. They are set to take the stage at M for Montreal this November.
