HEYZ

HEYZ is an American record producer and DJ from Greensboro, North Carolina. At an early age he displayed a love for music and natural ability to play instruments without any formal training. Although his adolescence and teenage years saw music as his primary interest, he didn’t start seriously writing music until his mid 20s. After picking up a copy of Logic Pro X, his talent for production progressed quickly. Within months, deadmau5's widely acclaimed imprint, mau5trap, took notice of his sound. After signing with mau5trap and releasing 2 successful singles, HEYZ released his debut EP, ‘Schedule 1’, in February 2018. Late 2018-early 2019 saw HEYZ reimagine his Techno sound into a heavy, grittier form of bass music with an emphasis on strong vocals and songwriting. The culmination of this work coalesced into his ‘Human 404’ EP which released on Jauz’s imprint ‘Bite This!’ in August 2019. 'Human 404' received wide acclaim with support from Marshmello, Zeds Dead, Liquid Stranger, Ghastly, Ookay, UKF Dubstep, and features in Spotify's 'Friday Cratediggers' and 'Bass Arcade' as well as Apple Music's 'Breaking Dance' and 'Global Dance' playlists. HEYZ kicked off 2020 with an official remix for Flux Pavilion on Circus Records which reached over 100,000 Spotify plays in 3 days and a remix for Breathe Carolina on Spinnin’ Records. HEYZ’s first original recording of the year released June 19th on Zeds Dead’s record label, Deadbeats.
